Frugal Living
I want to take issue with the frugal mentality for a moment. Bear with me, please. I have observed a pride among women who can squeeze a penny
out of nothing. There is a certain self-righteousness that I have observed among those who will ONLY buy something if it is in the clearance rack or highly discounted. Although I shop the clearance rack and discount stores, we must be women who
are wholly yielded to the Lord, led by the Spirit of God even in the area of spending and finances.
Let us be women of blessing, living with grace, lavishly with what the Lord has provided. Let us not give a gift that doesn't quite fit but was such a bargain. Let us be women of faith, women full of the
blessing of God who love to give that perfect gift, who love to live in the blessing of the Lord. Yes, I will continue to shop the clearance racks and discount stores because I do want to be a good steward
of the money my husband works so hard for, but I will listen to the Holy Spirit first and foremost.
Please read the first article below for more on this subject. I hope what I was trying to convey came across. Be givers of good gifts, to the Lord and to others! Rely on the provision of the Lord to meet your family's needs. Then the glory belongs to Him, and to Him alone! Thank you for bearing with me as I shared my thoughts.

food for her family . . . she sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong
